History[]
Early life[]
Zahir served as an armsman to the last king of Malkier. On the night that Malkier fell to the Great Blight, the royal family was slaughtered, save for the infant Lan Mandragoran, who Zahir helped smuggle out of the palace, and brought him to Fal Dara in Shienar. Zahir's own family subsequently lived in the Shienaran fortress-city as refugees.[1]
