The Westlands refers to a region of land in The Wheel of Time television series. The region located west of the Spine of the World, east of the Aryth Ocean, south of the Mountains of Doom, and north of the Sea of Storms.[1]

Overview[]

The Westlands is a culturally diverse landmass, home to many nations of humans. It is also home to the sapient species known as the Ogier, who live in isolated steddings.[2]

History[]

The Westlands arose as a contiguous landmass after the devastating Breaking of the World.[3] The Aes Sedai were reorganized as the all-female channeling organization of the lands during this time, and many great and prosperous nations arose.[4]

All nations were affected by the devastating Trolloc Wars at the end of the After Breaking period.[4]

The Westlands were later home to the great conquests of Artur Hawkwing, who laid siege to the White Tower.[4]
