Hammed Animashaun is an actor who portrays Loial on Prime Video's The Wheel of Time.

Animashaun is known for his roles in National Theatre Live: The Threepenny Opera (2016), Black Mirror (2011), and Affected (2011).
Animashaun's casting as Loial was announced on December 4, 2019.[1][2]
When auditioning for the role, Animashaun didn't know what he was auditioning for. Loial's character was codenamed Lawrence for the audition.[3]

- If Animashaun were to become an Aes Sedai, he would choose the Green Ajah.[4]
- Animashaun's favorite scene from season 1 is the library scene in episode 5 Blood Calls Blood. It's also the first scene he filmed.[5]
- Animashaun has read book 1 The Eye of the World. As of April 2022, he is reading book 2 The Great Hunt, but he doesn't want to get ahead of the TV series and spoil it for himself.[5]
