The Wheel of Time Wiki

Andor is a nation in the heart of the Westlands. It is the largest nation of the landmass. It is bordered by the Caralain Grass to the north, Cairhien to the east, Murandy and Altara to the south, Ghealdan to the southwest, and the Mountains of Mist in the far west.[1][2]

Overview[]

Andor is a monarchy, and is always ruled by a queen who passes the throne to her eldest daughter.[3] Presently, the Queen of Andor is Morgase Trakand.[4]

History[]

Season 1[]

The region of the Two Rivers in the far west of Andor is attacked by Shadowspawn, as it is believed that one of four youths living there is the Dragon Reborn.[5] After leaving the Two Rivers with Moiraine Damodred and Lan Mandragoran, Rand, Mat, Perrin, and Egwene make their way to Tar Valon, until they are separated by Shadar Logoth.[6] Rand and Mat continue through Andor on their way to Tar Valon, and Andoran Darkfriend cells are activated. They are cornered by Dana in Breen's Spring, but saved by Thom Merrilin, who joins them on the road.[7] In the Braem Wood, they are separated from Thom during a Fade attack on the Grinwell farm, and they continue to make their way to Tar Valon.[8]
